theCommonist is a film and animation studio based in Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok. A multi-cultural team of filmmakers, designers and animators together work on variety of creative fields, including commercials, viral video, music videos, animated series and feature films.
I was working in theCommonist, Kuala Lumpur as an intern and later on as a full time staff. This is the very first commissioned motion graphics project I was appointed to work on.
This project is to create an intro video/ manifesto video about theCommonist. Directed by Darrel, the director and founder of theCommonist, I was give a script and a rough storyboard to begin with. I used Adobe Photoshop to design and draw frame by frame, animated very scenes. Then I composited every frames of drawing and did some final touch up in Adobe After Effects.
